"Algo" Update On Kansas City SEO Today

Previously, the profiles section on the home page was sorted in reverse chronological order by the date a profile was created. The profiles are now being re-ranked based on activity. Now you can boost the position of your profile by commenting (intelligently), creating posts, events or other pieces of content.
To create content, login, and go to this link.
The idea is to reward those that are most active on the site with more exposure. I pulled myself out of the list since I would naturally be at the top because of all the updates on the site. Nobody wants to stare at my ugly mug every time they show up at the site. It would be like if Google ranked their products ahead of others...uh, oh wait, they already do that :)

May the best spammer, er- commenter, win!

Easy there Shana. Don't get any wild ideas :)

Thanks for the update, dude. Hopefully the new algo will allow contributing members to prevail. Watch out for the spammers though.

I like to spread the love.
SEO Comment-ers RULE
Dudes- come on, if we can't get link love, I guess we have to give comment-er love and then maybe the links to my blog will be put back-up. Webster is controlling!
You guys bored with schools yet?

Come on now Anne, you've been pretty generous to yourself with the juice. I still love you dog. I just want to make sure you don't break the H, R, E and F keys on your keyboard :)
If I didn't want to give out link love I'd put nofollow tags on the site. It's about all about...intentions and motivation.
