Drupal Site for colleague - Non profit

One of my friends needs a Drupal site built. His father has ALS (AKA Lou Gehrig's Disease), and has been living with it for a while. They started a foundation for him, and that has done well so far. However, he wants to move to the web and does not know how to make a site by himself. He's asked for my assistance in building a Drupal site (this will allow him to make content changes if he needs to. He's looking to add different pages when they have different fundraising functions going on, for instance).
