Job description
Our Online Marketing Specialist is directly responsible for the development, implementation, and optimization of SEO, PPC, and website campaigns for business units within Ascend Learning. They are also responsible for analyzing campaign Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) on a continual basis and provide recommendations on the proper use of resources. This position reports to the Interactive Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities
PPC Responsibilities
• Creation and build of Google AdWords and Yahoo/Bing adCenter accounts
• Keyword research, bidding, and campaign/ad group creation
• Ongoing weekly management of PPC campaigns, CPC/bidding and copy performance
Reporting Responsibilities
• Google Analytics implementation, tracking, tagging, goal/funnel setup, and reporting
• Creation and maintenance of monthly marketing reports for all Ascend Learning companies
SEO Responsibilities
• Keyword research
• On page and off page optimization
• Optimization of Title Tags, Body Copy, internal linking structure, URL structure, etc
Website Management Responsibilities
• Creation and maintenance of web pages on Ascend Learning websites
• Add and revise products in our online stores, create coupon codes, and assist with product promotion

Required candidate experience and qualifications
Qualified candidate must have:
• 1 year of progressive online marketing experience specifically in SEO and PPC.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Content Management Systems is a plus but not required.
• Strong understanding of Google Analytics, AdWords, and MS Office.
• Good written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to compile performance data and develop actionable outcomes.
• A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Communications, or comparable field.
