Event Recap and Site News
I had a lot of fun and hopefully everyone else did. This was the best turn-out we have had at an event yet. It was also nice to see the variety of SEOs. Corporate in-house SEOs, agency SEOs, SEO Gurus, and SEOs new to the field were all in attendance. A big thanks to all who attended.
David and Sally had a good idea and suggested that we implement a Sphinn style content submission system. This is keeps people from having to write double the articles to post on their own site and on this one. I'll start putting this together shortly.
In other news, Mark Jackson has been nice enough to help me start the process to turn the club into a 501c3 non-profit. This will open up a lot more opportunities in the future.
Google Gives KCSEO the Banhammer
The geniuses at the Failplex have gotten together and figured that my dev site with 0 backlinks is the authoritative source for the content on my homepage. They have since B& my home page and it isn't in the index right now. I used the removal tool to pull the dev site out of the index and will hopefully be back in before long. I should really stop leaving my dev site open like that. Oops :)
Anyone have any ideas about why Harvard is ranking second for the the query: "kansas city seo club"?
