I have a potential client let's say in Gardner, Kansas. They want to come up high in Google's local search results for "Kansas City......their product or service." They don't have an actual office in Kansas City proper, and their geographic location is outside of Google's Kansas City map area. They want me to figure out some way to manipulate the system so that they can come up high in the local results, like create a listing with their company name but use the Kansas City address of one of their employees. They already have a LBL with their name and actual address.
This seems like it could be unethical to me. The problem in our town is that people tend to search for everything related to "Kansas City" not their local town. Would you take on this task? How much would you charge? Does anyone want this work?
Thanks for any thoughts or comments.
P.S. we need a category for "local search"
